Edwina B. Hix, 82, of Bowling Green entered into rest with family by her side Friday, July 20, 2018 at The Medical Center. Edwina was born February 29, 1936 in Warren Co., KY. She was preceded in death by her parents Ellis C. and Eloise Smith Beals, Son-In-Law Bron Grimes and Brother-In-Law O. N. Elkin.

Edwina was retired from South Central Bell and member of Riverside Christian Church. She loved being with her family, loved ones and friends. She enjoyed collecting McCoy Pottery with Carlton, Thelma, Milton and Sherry Milam.

Survivors include her husband of 64 ½ years Carlton Hix, 2 daughters Cheryl McChesney (Larry) and Carla Grimes. One sister Thelma Elkin and brother David Beals (Glenda) all of Bowling Green. She was “MEMA” to Kim Doyle (Duane), Justin McChesney (Michelle), Allison Haley (Kevin) and Brittney Green (Cory), her great-grandchildren Dawson, Connor, Cooper & Ellie Doyle, Dillon & Dawson Haley, Maddie and Callen Green, Lauren McChesney.

Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 24, 2018, 2:00 pm at J. C. Kirby and Son Lovers Lane Chapel. Visitation will be Monday, 1:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Tuesday 10:00 am until time of services at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Riverside Christian Church Cemetery. Expressions of Sympathy may be made to Riverside Christian Church Cemetery.
