Obituary for Eleanor L. Larson Eleanor L. Larson, 90, of Iron Mountain, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018 at ManorCare Health Services in Kingsford. She was born August 22, 1928 in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Bert and Linda (Geromel) Carollo. Eleanor graduated from Quinnesec High School and was a lifelong resident of the area.
She married Paul B. Larson on April 4, 1951 at the Immaculate Conception Church Rectory. He preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 2013.
Eleanor was employed at Hancock Wood Products for 27 years, retiring in 2000. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Eleanor enjoyed watching hummingbirds, going to craft shows and spoiling her children’s dogs.
She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Most of all, she loved spending time with family. She is survived by three children Karen Zeni of Vulcan, Dean (Donna) Larson of Waucedah, and Gail (Jim) Jacobson of Iron Mountain, five grandchildren, Dan (Sherrie) Zeni, Bret (Jamie) Kraemer, Francis Kraemer, Jesse Jacobson, and Ryan (Jackie) Jacobson, nine great grandchildren, Jordan and Elliot Kraemer, Keegan, Hallee, Ellie, Mason and Emily Jacobson, and Collin and Alana Olson; and many nieces and nephews, including special nieces Susie Flaminio and Jeanie Warp.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Dale Zeni; a brother, Ernest “Ernie” Carollo; and two sisters, Delores Nocerini and Elizabeth “Betty” Welcher. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
Fr. Raymond Valerio will officiate. Burial will be in Dickinson County Memorial Gardens.
