Mr. Elisha “Sandy” Brown, Jr., 62, passed away on the morning of Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Hospice House of South Bend. Elisha was born October 14, 1956 in Frenchmen, Arkansas to Elisha Brown Sr. and Ruthie Lee Brown. Elisha moved to South Bend in 1963, having spent the first few years of his life in Illinois.

He was employed for many years as a foreman and supervisor for ASTAR, Inc. Elisha was a beloved father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Elisha is survived by his long-time companion Bridgette Word; his children, Desrena Brown, Marian Brown, Sandra Brown, Alexandria Diggins, Curtis Leonard Jr., Dayin Anderson and Crystal Murray, all of South Bend, Indiana; Kelia Ward and Keshawn Boatman of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; sisters Rubystein Brown of MIlwaukee, Wisconsin; Gloria Scaife and Denise Taylor of South Bend, Indiana; brothers Sam Perry and Kenny White. He is survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were both of his parents, two brother in laws, Terry ‘Ted” Scaife and Anthony “AD” Taylor; one nephew Carlton Johnson; one great nephew Rodney Harris Jr. along with many aunts and uncles all welcomed him with open arms. Uncle Sandy will be missed greatly by all but especially by his great nieces and nephews. Services for Mr. Elisha “Sandy” Brown will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 3:00 p.m at Palmer Funeral Home-West Chapel 2701 Lincolnway West, South Bend, IN 46628.

Friends may call on the family for visitation one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Online expressions of sympathy may be left at www.
