Elizabeth Hairston Davis, 85, of Concord, N.C., passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018. She was born June 11, 1933, in Pittsylvania County, Va. to the late Virginia Oliver Hairston and the late Sandy Hairston.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Davis. Mrs. Davis in her younger years loved traveling, especially for church events. She was a member of Christian Life Baptist Church, where she served on the Mother Board and loved singing in the church choir.

Mrs.… Read More » Davis is survived by her grandchildren, Tijuana Hairston, Tonya Poole, and Demetrius Davis; as well as eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2018, at Christian Life Baptist Church with Pastor LaShawnda Reynolds officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1 p.m. prior to the service.
