Obituary for Elizabeth Saine Stewart Elizabeth Saine Stewart, 81, of Matthews, passed Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at Novant Health in Matthews. Elizabeth was born in Rutherfordton, NC, on May 12, 1937, the daughter of Robert and Ruth Bailey Saine. After graduating from Rutherford-Spindale Central HS, she came to Charlotte where she studied to be a beautician.

Elizabeth worked for the late Jack Garrison and Bruce Joyner at Jack’s Plaza Beauty Salon. In 1956, she married Charles Ellison Stewart, who preceded her in death in 2003. They made their home in Matthews, NC, where she enjoyed flower gardening and growing beautiful irises.

Elizabeth loved the time spent with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Cynthia Stewart Campos of Charlotte and Charles Gregory Stewart of Charlotte; her grandchildren: Charlene Stewart of Columbia, SC, and Charles Campos of Charlotte; and a brother, Michael Saine of Shelby. She is further survived by numerous other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Thursday, May 17, 2018, at the Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home, 4715 Margaret Wallace Road, Matthews. Graveside services will be held at Sharon Memorial Park at 2 pm on Friday, May 18. Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home privileged to serve the family.
