Obituary for Frankie Lucille Love Frankie “Lucille” Wells Love, 84, of Charlotte entered heaven and saw her savior on June 9, 2018. Born April 12, 1934, in Roxboro, North Carolina to the late Frank and Beatrice Wells, she was the only sister to the departed Betty Poplin. In June 1952, she married the love of her life Glenn, with whom she is now reunited.

Lucille leaves behind her son Toby Love; daughters Teresa Dixon, Tammy Walters (Eddie) and Tonya Gulledge (Mike). Multiple grandchildren William Love, Timothy Love, Brian Lord, David Love, Melissa Jordan, Jennifer Lisenby, Holly Gulledge, Tiffany Mills, and Justin Walters. Mrs. Love was blessed with fourteen great grandchildren.

Not only was Lucille known as a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, she was also known as “Pete” to her family. Lucille retired from the Charlotte Mecklenburg school systems where she was employed for 18 years, in nutrition. She also retired from Sam’s Club, in Matthews, where she worked for 23 years.

Mrs. Love was a special mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend to many who will forever cherish her memory. The visitation will be on June 13 beginning at 11:00 am at Lowe Neddo Funeral Home, in Matthews, with graveside services at noon at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227 In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice House & Life Center, of Brunswick County, www. hospiceandlifecarecenter.org/ To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Frankie Lucille Love please visit our Sympathy Store.
