Princeville – Elizabeth V. Herrmann, 94, of Princeville, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 at 3:34 a.m. at Apostolic Christian Skylines in Peoria. Born March 3, 1924 in Gridley, IL to the late Barney and Leah Welk Ringger, she married Eugene E. Herrmann on March 12, 1950 in Gridley. He preceded her in death on October 5, 2002.

Surviving are her four children: Kathleen (Bill) Stoller of Princeville, Janice (Alan) Martin of Edelstein, Roger (Darlene) Herrmann of Laura and Jane (Kyle)… Read More » Scholl of Peoria; 11 grandchildren: Kristy (Ben) Luginbuhl, Jason (Rebekah) Stoller, Shane (Megan) Martin, Lance Martin, Drew (Danae) Martin, Tristan (Larissa) Herrmann, Rebekah (Jared) Stoller, Larissa (Rob) Burroughs, Garrett Herrmann, Quintin (Lacey) Scholl and Chassi (James) Jensen; 14 great grandchildren; one sister, Lillian Ringger of Gridley, two brothers, Ray of Gridley and Edwin (Pat) of Roanoke; and two brother in laws, Walter (Betty) Herrmann of Princeville, Noah Herrmann of Peoria, and one sister in law, Bertha Jean Herrmann of Princeville. Also preceding Elizabeth in death are two brothers, Alvin and Fred Ringger and one sister, Viola Ringger. Elizabeth was known for her beautiful flowers and enjoyed her flower beds for more than 75 years.

She loved reading, crocheting, and working puzzles. She had an unconditional love for her grandchildren and prayed for them daily. Elizabeth was a former volunteer for UnityPoint Methodist Hospital and Apostolic Christian Skylines.

She was a member of the Princeville Apostolic Christian Church, where her funeral will be on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Haskell-Hott Funeral Homes in Princeville from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with an additional visitation at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Ministers of the church will officiate. Burial will be at the Princeville Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Apostolic Christian Skylines or the Akron-Princeville Ambulance Service.
