Obituary for Ellie Mae Humphries (Stoots) Mooresboro, NC — Ellie Mae Humphries, 70, of 1744 Beachwood Rd, passed away Monday, July 9th, 2018, at her daughter’s home. Born in Hemphill, WV, she was the widow of Bill Humphries and the daughter of the late William and Margaret Blakely Stoots. Mrs. Humphries is survived by one son, Billy Humphries, of Mooresboro, NC; one daughter, Tracey Parker (Alan), of Mooresboro, NC; one step-daughter, Andrea Lecroy, of Gaffney; one bother-in-law, Dan Humphries, of Shelby, NC; two sisters-in-law, Linda Bowen and Elaine Pearson, of Shelby; six grandchildren, Peyton Humphries, Adam and Matthew Parker, Dianna Cooksey, Lacey Smith, and Jamie Cooksey; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Humphries was preceded in death by two brothers, James Stoots and Butch Blakely. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 14th, 2018, from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Gordon Mortuary of Gaffney. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00 am in the Gordon Mortuary of Gaffney Chapel with Rev.

Buddy Morehead officiating. Interment will be at Frederick Memorial Gardens. The family will be at their respective homes.
