EMILY’s Obituary Emily F. Brambley, 96, Moose Lake, went to be with Jesus on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 in Mercy Hospital, Moose Lake. She was born on January 25, 1922 to Martin and Ethel Fox in Cassity, West Virginia. Emily was the first born among 7 siblings.

At the age of 12 years old, Emily moved to Maryland with her family. Emily attended college at the age of 16 in Pennsylvania and graduated when she was 20 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Math. She taught school in Kitzmiller, Maryland.

On October 23, 1942, she married Louis Moon. Emily worked as a medical technician in West Virginia and later worked as a social worker and later as a case manager for Ontario County Social Services in Canandaigua, New York. After her husband’s heart attack, Emily helped manage the family business of Louis Moon Jewelers in Rochester, NY.

Emily nursed Louis for the last 4 years of his life until he died in 1977. Emily sold the store in 1982 and moved to Kettle River. In 1984, she moved back to Pennsylvania to take care of her mother after she became ill.

On August 20, 1988, Emily married Irwin L. Brambley in Pennsylvania who she nursed for 9 years until he died in 1998. Emily moved back to Kettle River in 1999. In 2004, she moved to Moose Lake.

First and foremost, Emily was a believer in the Truth of the Bible. She had great confidence in God and Hope in heaven. Emily was a member of West Side Church, Kettle River.

Emily loved knitting and always knitted mittens which she donated to the Food Shelf. At the age of 95, Emily knitted and donated 30 pairs of mittens! Emily was preceded in death by her 1st husband: Louis M. Moon in 1977; 2nd husband: Irwin L. Brambley in 1998; son: John M. Moon in 2017; grandson: Levi Matthew Malone; and 5 siblings: Robert Fox, Fred Fox, Luveria O’Rourke, Letitia Lehman, and Leonard Fox.

She will be lovingly remembered by her two children: Allan Moon of Rochester, NY and Sara K. “Kathy” (Robert) Wieditz of Kettle River; a brother: Dorsey (Marge) Fox of PA; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; sister-in-law: Alice Fox; and numerous nieces and nephews. Until she passed away, her hands were always busy and she considered the needs of others above her own. She had many people who loved her deeply.

A funeral service will be held at 10 am Friday, November 30, 2018 in West Side Church, Kettle River. Pastor Jerry Gill and Sara Howard will officiate. Music will be provided by Sara K. “Kathy” Wieditz and Elizabeth Malone.

Burial will be in West Side Cemetery, Kettle River. Arrangements by Hamlin-Hansen-Kosloski Funeral Home, Moose Lake, MN.
