ETHEL’s Obituary Ethel J. Kachinske, 86, Moose Lake, died peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, February 21, 2019 in Augustana Mercy Health Care Center, Moose Lake. She was born on November 7, 1932 in Moose Lake to Frank and Jenny Lake. Ethel attended grade school in Kettle River and later attended Moose Lake High School graduating in 1950.

She worked in Minneapolis at Gambles. On October 10, 1953, Ethel married Clemence L. Kachinske. She loved farming with her husband through the years in Split Rock Twp.

and was a proud Mother to 7 children. Ethel was a 4-H Leader and enjoyed gardening, canning, and berry picking. She looked forward to yearly family vacations.

Ethel also worked at the Star Club helping out with events. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Moose Lake. Ethel was preceded in death by her two brothers: Ervin Lake and Clarence Lake and her parents: Frank and Jenny Lake.

She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Clemence; 7 children: Lester (Dianna) of Grand Rapids; Caroline (Lance) LaFrinier of Moose Lake; Joe (Cindy) of St. Cloud; John (Maija) of Kettle River; Laurence (Renee) of Moose Lake; Paul (Kathleen) of Kettle River; and Bob (Georgia) of Moose Lake; 18 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be from 11 am until the Noon Memorial Mass on Thursday, February 28, 2019 in Holy Angels Catholic Church, Moose Lake. Spring Inurnment will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Split Rick Twp.
