Eric David Beard, 32, of Thorntown, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon. He was born on May 27, 1986, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of Daniel and Cynthia (Hibbard) Beard. Eric attended Western Boone High School.

On February 27, 2017, he was married to Samantha “Sam” (Orrell) Beard in Lebanon; she survives. Eric recently began working at Subaru of America in Lafayette as a forklift operator. He was a devoted husband who enjoyed music and sports of all kinds, especially basketball.

Eric had a huge heart and was fun-loving, good natured and loved his family. Survivors include: Wife: Samantha Beard – Thorntown, Indiana Parents: Daniel and Cynthia Beard – Thorntown, Indiana Mother-in-law: Kimberly and Everett Clark-Colfax, Indiana Sisters: Vanessa J. (Douglas) Sargent- Thorntown, Indiana Nephews: Calvin and Jacob McKinney, Eli Shelley, Corbin Shelley, Haven Shelley and Gabriel Shelley Funeral Services are planned for 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019, at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, in Lebanon, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home in Lebanon.
