Mr. John Richard Cline, 89, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Homewood Healthcare in Lebanon. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on August 31, 1929, a son of the late Marion B. and Mary A. (Graham) Cline. John graduated from Whitestown High School in 1947.

He proudly served his country honorably in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1954. On June 3, 1954, he was married to Barbara L. (Kimball) Cline, in Whitestown, Indiana. She preceded him in death on August 8, 1998.

John worked in construction and farmed his family’s land all of his life. In addition, he also worked 30 years at Boone County REMC as a heavy equipment operator. John was a member of Trinity Lutheran, V.F.W and American Legion Post #113.

He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Survivors include: Three Children: Cynthia Lee (Dennis) Luper –Lebanon, Indiana Mark Richard Cline – Lebanon, Indiana John David Cline-Lebanon, Indiana Son-In-Law: Dave Osbourne –Lebanon, Indiana Nine Grandchildren: Todd Anderson Mary Reid Lindsay Cline Jeremiah David Melanie Cline Dustin Melvin Dominique Melvin Jake Cline Alysa Lyn Cline Eight Great Grandchildren Companion: Frieda Faucett – Lebanon, Indiana In addition to his parents and his wife, John was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandy Osbourne. Public Graveside Services with Military Rites are planned for 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 22, 2019, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.

Services will be handled by Myers Mortuary in Lebanon, Indiana. Memorials may be directed to charity of the donor’s choice. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of John Richard Cline please visit our Sympathy Store.
