Eulalia “Lala” Eliserio, age 80, of Elwood, passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Alexandria Care Center following an extended illness. She was born in McAllen, Texas on February 12, 1938, to the late Frederico and Tomasa (Aleman) Eliserio. Lala was a very kind and giving person, who would help in any way she could.

She lead a simple life but was always willing to give all she had to help others. Lala was retired from the Sisters of St. Joseph Mother House in Tipton. She was a nurses’ aide and helped with the housekeeping.

Lala loved to serve others and working for the Sisters was a blessing for her to help others. Even though Lala had no children of her own, she loved kids and was blessed to help raise several of her nieces and nephews. She was kind, simple woman that made a difference in many lives.

Lala is survived by her sister-in-law, Sue Eliserio of Elwood; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Frederico Eliserio; mother, Tomasa Eliserio; siblings, Felix Eliserio, Felipa Casas, Servando Eliserio, Jullian Eliserio, and Francisco Eliserio. A time of family and friends sharing will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Dunnichay Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 20, 2018, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, at Dunnichay Funeral Home, 1113 S. Anderson Street, Elwood, Indiana. Memorial contributions may be made to the Elwood Animal Shelter through the funeral home. Online condolences can be given at www.
