Obituary for Eugene “Gene” W. Sutton Eugene “Gene” W Sutton, of Anderson, passed away on December 27, 2018 at his home. He was born on March 31, 1928 in St. Louis, Missouri and resided most of his life in Anderson. He graduated from Anderson High School in 1947 and served his country in the US Army during the Korean War.

Gene retired from Myers Autoworld after 35 years as an auto salesman and had worked at Mitchell Motors, Bill Saxon’s Autos and Fairway Ford. He was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church, Ham Radio Clubs and photography clubs. He collected clocks, watches, cameras, loved going to flea markets and woodworking.

Gene is survived by his loving spouse of 66 years, Melva Sutton; sons, David (Sheri) Sutton, Gary Sutton; grandchildren, Ryan (Shelby) Sutton, Kyle (Haley) Sutton, Natalie (John) Marque; great-grandchildren, Addison, Hazel and Leo Sutton, Christian Marque, Mackenzie Bayshore, and Preston Walker. He was preceded in death by his parents Winfield Scott and Carrie W. Sutton; grandson, Jerimie D. Sutton; sister, Doris Louise Sutton. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2019, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street Anderson, IN.

Services will be Wednesday, January 2, 2019, 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Dennis Zirkle officiating. Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Meadowbrook Baptist Church, 119 East 36th Street, Anderson, IN 46013.
