Eula Maxine Walker, 88, of Albemarle, passed away peacefully, Saturday, January 5, 2019 at her home. Mrs. Walker was born February 9, 1930 to the late Kesler and Ula Carpenter. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Charles Walker and her beloved animal Casper.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Hartsell Funeral Home Albemarle. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 2:00 pm located at Barbee’s Grove Baptist Church, 24819-A Barbees Grove Church Road, Oakboro. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include: daughters, Dawn Gainey of Albemarle, Tara B Walker and Curt Thomas of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandsons, Ryan and wife Misti Gainey, Devin Thomas; great-grandchildren, Raygan and Paislee Gainey.
