Eva Marie Green MacRae, 97 years of age, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 24, 2018. Born on February 16, 1921, Eva was the daughter of Thomas Gibbs Green and Vina Cook Green. Preceding her in passing were: husband, Rhonard A. MacRae; grandson, Scott MacRae; brothers, Rev.

Talmadge Green, Rev. Ballard Green, Oscar Green, Frank Green and Jack Green; sisters, Dimple Stuart, Georgia Eller and Edith Kadlec. Left to cherish her memory are her children: CSM (R) Rhonard MacRae, Janice Rumfelt and Verna Stockton; grandchildren, Dr. Russell A. Morris (Wanda), Rhonda Kaylor (Wayne), Kim Mills (Jeff), Keith MacRae (Lisa) and Billy Stockton (Julie); 8 great-grandchildren, Nickie Squires, Shea Bryan, Rev.

Donald Guffey, Rhonnie MacRae, Christian MacRae, Brittney MacRae, Brandon MacRae and Erica Stockton; 5 great-great-grandchildren, Hope Brown, Brianna Squires, McKamey Squires, Katie Crisp and Cameron Crisp; sisters, Ruby Greene and Mae McPeters. Eva was employed by Kearfott Corporation, Old Fort Finishing and Parker’s Hosiery, before retiring in 2009 at age 88. She was the oldest living member of the Old Fort Church of God, where she served faithfully for 60 years in various ministries, including Sunday School teacher and 36 years as church clerk.

The service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Old Fort Church of God, officiated by Dr. Russell A. Morris and Rev. Gerald Gibson. Interment will follow at Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., prior to the service, at the church. Flowers are acceptable and appreciated. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in Mrs. MacRae’s memory are asked to consider, Old Fort Church of God, 4900 Greenlee Road, Old Fort, North Carolina 28762.
