Evelyn’s Obituary Eliot – Evelyn M. Donnell, 91, of Eliot, Maine, passed away peacefully at Kennebunk Center for Health and Rehabilitation surrounded by her family on January 23, 2019. She was born on December 4, 1927 in West Haven, Connecticut, a daughter of Percy and Margaret (Moulton) Hanson. Prior to her retirement, Evelyn was employed as a housekeeper for various hotels in the seacoast area and as a clerk at Courtney Cleaners in Eliot, Maine.

She was a member of the Mount Zion Chapel in Wells, Maine for over 30 years. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, David W. Donnell in 2010; her sisters Bernice Olson and Viola Paradis, as well as her brothers Alvin Hanson and David Hanson. Survivors include her daughter, Linda Wright and her husband, Robert of Eliot; her granddaughter, Lynette Goulet and her husband, Robert of Kittery; her great grandson, Brandon Schaffer of Rochester, NH; and her brother, Lloyd Hanson and his wife, Eileen of Eliot as well as several nieces and nephews.

Evelyn’s family would like give a special thank you to Jill Larson and the staff of The Gathering Place in Kittery, ME as well as the staff at Kennebunk Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Kennebunk, ME for the exceptional care given during her time with them. Services: Graveside services will be held in the spring at Brooks Memorial Cemetery, State Road, Eliot. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Cocheco Valley Humane Society, 262 County Farm Road Dover, NH 03820.
