Evelyn M. Peet, 85, of Proctor, died Saturday, May 5, 2018, at her residence. Born April 28, 1933, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Grace Martz Aungst. Evelyn Graduated from Montoursville Area High School Class of 1952.

She worked for Heal’s Variety Store in Montoursville, S.S. Kresge and later retired from Trimtex in Williamsport. She married Frederick L. Peet in 1960 and together they celebrated 57 years of marriage, by each other’s side. Evelyn was a member of Hoffman United Methodist Church.

She loved walking, enjoyed gospel music, old time country music, round and square dancing. Evelyn had an eye for style and a passion for shopping. She loved all the cats and dogs she had throughout her married life and will forever be remembered for her organization, snazzy style, strong willed personality and love for all those around her.

Surviving in addition to her husband is her loving daughter, Valerie Brown, of Proctor; three grandsons, Avery F. Snyder, Skylar L. Snyder and Edward E. Brown III; several nieces and nephews; and a whole circle of dear neighbors and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edwin E. Williamson Jr., and a sister, Gladys Kramer. A funeral service to honor the life of Evelyn will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 10 at Hoffman United Methodist Church, 5705 Wallis Run Road, Trout Run.

Burial will follow in Barbours Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday at church. Memorial contributions may be made in Evelyn’s name to the Salvation Army, 457 Market St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
