Everett A. Schubert November 23, 1939 – July 24, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Everett A. “Al” Schubert, 78, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Aurora Medical Center. He was born on November 23, 1939 to the late Everet A. and Audrey (Kunkel) Schubert in Caldwell, Idaho. He was educated in the schools of Idaho.

He entered the US Navy and was a Haul Tech for 22 years, retiring in 1979 where he was honorably discharged. On March 13, 1964 he married Karen Miller in Waukegan. She preceded him in death on March 25, 1995.

On November 19, 1998 he married Thelma Dawson in Phillips, WI. She also preceded him in death on August 1, 2013. After retiring in 1979, Everett worked as a Boiler Tech for Abbott Laboratories for 15 years, retiring in 1995.

Everett was a member of the VFW Post 1865 and a member of USS L.Y. Spear Association. Everett enjoyed traveling, hunting, woodworking, western movies and books and was a Brewer fan. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Everett is survived by his children Carolyn (Mark) Cass of Burlington, Barbara (Lyle) Smith of Vacaville, CA, Roberta Novick of Kenosha and Allen Schubert of Kenosha, his step children Lora (Dan) Miller of Kenosha and Alicia Hollister of Twin Lakes, his sister Joan Friend of Boise, Idaho, his 12 grandchildren of which there are two sailors, one marine and one airmen who followed in their grandfather’s footsteps, and his 15 great grandchildren. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a sister Geraldine Whitworth, a brother Leon Schubert and a stepdaughter Rebecca L. Hollister.

A Celebration of Life for Everett will be held on Saturday, July 28th at 11:00 a.m. at the Hansen-Lendman Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow with Full Military Honors at Green Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
