Hansen December 21, 1952 – August 29, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Kenneth “Kenny G.” Hansen, 65, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Froedtert South Kenosha Campus. He was born on December 21, 1952 to the late Kenneth A. and Ileen I. (Cain) Hansen in Kenosha. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School.

Kenny attended UW Parkside for computer science. Kenny worked in quality control at AMC/Chrysler for a few years. Kenny was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.

Kenny proudly joined the Danish Brotherhood with his father to celebrate their heritage. As a young man his passion was real estate. With Kenny’s many challenges he never complained or asked “why me?

” He would always smile at the smallest acts of kindness, which brought him much joy. Kenny was generous to his family, friends and even to strangers. Kenny enjoyed hunting and loved to play cribbage every week with his dear friends Wally and Jim Gedgaudas.

Kenny also formed a loving bond and friendship with his caretaker Kevin and Gina Bonn who took care of him with love, compassion and kindness. Kenny is survived by his siblings Randy (Sissy) Hansen of Kenosha, Gail Johnson of AZ, Diane (Greg) Merkes of Pleasant Prairie and Carol (Gary) Broaddus of Kenosha, his nieces Karrie (Bill) Lee of Kenosha, Dana (Jason Kosup) Merkes of Kenosha County and Sara Merkes (his goddaughter) of Kauai, HI, his great nieces Camren Cheney and Maleena Merkes Kosup, his great nephews Caleb Lee and Wesley Merkes Kosup and many cousins and friends who loved him dearly. Visitation for Kenny will be held on Thursday, September 6th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Hansen-Lendman Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church (corner of 48th Street and 8th Ave. ). Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery.
