Kivisto, 94, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, Friday, November 23, 2018 at Brookside Care Center. He was born on August 22, 1924 to the late Jack and Elvira Kivisto in Waukegan. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School.

Ray entered the US Navy on May 1, 1943 and served in the South Pacific on the USS Leopard during WWII. He was honorably discharged on May 17, 1946. In 1947 he married Betty Zawacki in Kenosha.

She preceded him in death in 1998. Ray worked as a cost estimator for Snap-On Tools for 22 years then worked at Prudential Insurance as an insurance agent for 22 years. Ray was a member of the VFW Post 1865.

Ray enjoyed photography and golfing into his early 80’s. Ray is survived by his sons Larry Kivisto of Hales Corner and Bob (Barb) Kivisto of Racine, his grandchildren Marc Kivisto, Beth Plummer and Adam Kivisto, his great grandchildren Traa and Haali and his great great grandchild Karter Cash. Funeral Services for Ray will be held on Friday, November 30th at 11:00 a.m. from the Hansen-Lendman Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Green Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials would be appreciated to the family.
