Fannie Rogers Sanders, 89, of Otto, NC passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018. She was born in Macon County, the daughter of the late King and Allie Sanders Phillips. She was married first to John Henry Rogers, Jr. and later to Rev.

James Sanders both of whom preceded her in death. Mrs. Sanders was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great‑grandmother, caregiver and homemaker who never complained and was always ready to serve others. She was a prayer warrior and a faithful member of Prentiss Church of God where she was the oldest member.

Survivors include her daughters, Glenda Blackwell (Curtis), Barbara Talley, Gail Bennett (Gary) all of Otto and Trisha Ramey (Lee) of Rabun Gap, GA; stepsons, Ernie Sanders, Ralph Sanders, Billy Sanders and Joel Sanders; sister, Ruby Hodgins (Roger) of Franklin and brother, Bud Phillips (Mary) of Bryson City; grandchildren, Terry, Vic, Shane and Tina Blackwell, Lynne Ramey, Amy Owens, Tatum Talley, Amber Ramey, Sheena Hughes, Anthony Lujan, and Michael and Michelle Ramey; 28 great‑grandchildren and 15 great‑great‑grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by a son, James Nelson Rogers; a son‑in‑law, Tommy Talley; sisters, Margie Curtis, Mattie Norris and Susie Bradley and brother, Bernard Phillips. A funeral service will be held Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 3:30 pm at Prentiss Church of God with Rev.

Don Moffitt and Rev. Kevin Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in Wright Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Bradley, Roddy Hughes, Anthony Lujan, Gary Bennett, Lee Ramey, Tatum Talley, Tate Talley and Dylan Allen. Honorary pallbearers bill be Axel Hughes, Ryder Hughes, Trevor Lujan, Weston Ramey and Jasper Ramey. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 – 3:30 pm prior to the service at the church.
