Faye Duncan February 03, 1932 – February 14, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Duffield, VA – Faye Duncan, 87 Faye Duncan, age 87 of Duffield, VA went peacefully into the arms of our Savior in the early morning on February 14, 2019 after a period of declining health. Mom was a wonderful loving mother, selfless wife, devoted grandmother, and sister. Forever we will cherish her Sunday lunches, gardening, love of flowers and crochet pieces which she gifted us many.

Preceding her in death was her husband of 47 years, Jim Duncan; parents, Nath and Polly Lane, sister, Dorothy Cunningham, and brother Bobby Randall Lane. Mom attended Clinchport Freewill Baptist Church and Rye Cove Community Church until her decline. She accepted Jesus Christ at age 10.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Pierson and husband Dwight, Clinchport; sons, David and wife JoAnn, Duffield; Eddie Duncan, Gate City; grandson, Dustin Pierson and wife Cynthia, Raleigh, NC; granddaughters Amanda and MaKayla Duncan of Duffield; sister, Shirley Thacker, Yuma and Jerry Lane, Chino CA and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Saturday, February 16, 2019 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, Weber City, VA. Funeral service will follow at 1 PM with Minister Gene Stallard officiating.

Music will be provided by Chris Holder and Journey Home. Burial will follow at Boatright Cemetery, Rye Cove Community Duffield, VA. Pallbearers are family and friends.

The family would like to thank those who have cared for Mom – Dorothy Winstead, Remy Stidham and Connie Lane as well as the staff at NHC in Kingsport – especially for their caring words and comfort in these final days.
