She was born on September 5, 1926 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was the owner and the Loea Kumu Hula of the former Beamer Solomon Hula Arts located above her Grandfather’s Pete Beamer Hardware store on Kamehameha Ave.

, Hilo for 40 years. She was the Hawai’i Island Aloha Week Manager for 18 years and served on the first Merry Monarch Hula Festival Committee. She was also a member of Haili Congregational Church.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday (Mar. 9, 2019) at Imiola Congregational Church, Waimea; Celebration of Her Life at 10 a.m. Aloha attire. Survived by, husband, Randolph F. Solomon, Sr. of Waimea; daughters, Malama Solomon of Waimea, former State Senator and Hulali (Robert Covington) Solomon Covington of Waimea; grandchildren, Randolph F. Solomon, III of North Kohala, Mauloa (Kanoe Alexander) Solomon Covington of Waimea and Leiomalama T. Solomon of Waimea; 4 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and 2 cousins, Helen Desha Beamer and Marmionett Magoon Ka’aihue.
