She was born on August 23, 1924 in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey and was a retired Medical Doctor specializing in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. A private “Celebration of Life” Service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers or Koden (monetary offerings) a donation may be made in memory of Yoshie to Hawaii Care Choices (formerly known as Hospice of Hilo); 1011 Waianuenue Avenue; Hilo, Hawaii 96720. She is survived by, husband, Harold Ohata of Hilo; sons, Steven (Karen) Ohata of Aiea and Michael (Cynthia) Ohata of Oak Park, Illinois; daughters, Ann Ohata, M.D. of Honolulu and Wendy (Tom) Correa of Hilo; five grandsons.
