Obituary for Florence Boyce Martin Boyce Martin passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at age 90. She is survived by two children, David Calvin Martin and Betty (Jerry) Potts; four grandchildren, Philip (Jennifer) Potts, Kevin Todd Martin, Wade (Caitlin) Potts, and Jaime Sarah Martin; three great grandchildren, Madee Potts, Gabi Potts, and Jude Potts; one sister, Jewel Mixon Melton, age 98 of Wetumpka, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, John Calvin Martin; one grandson, Jerry “Jay” Potts, Jr.; her parents, A.J. & Susie Mixon; and three siblings.

Boyce was an excellent seamstress and cook. The love of her life was her grandchildren. She will be missed by her family.

The family wishes to express their appreciation for the loving care Boyce received at Fair Haven. Visitation will be Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of The New Gardendale Funeral Home. Burial will be at New Horizon Cemetery in Dora, AL.
