Florentino C. “Boy” Doble, M.D., 74, a resident of Manila, Philippines, died Friday morning, August 31, 2018 at his niece’s home in Cornelius, while on vacation. FLORENTINO CARPIO DOBLE was born January 13, 1944 in Manila, Philippines, the son of the late Eusebio Doble and Paz (Alferos) Doble. He was raised and received his primary education in Botolan, Philippines, his secondary education in Roosevelt College in Marikina and his tertiary and medical education at the University of Santo Thomas in Manila.

He was united in marriage to Marilou Trillo Del Prado on December 8, 1971 in Manila, Philippines on December 8, 1971. Following their marriage they have since made their home in Manila. Dr. Doble had served as professor in the UST- Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, as General Surgery consultant to numerous hospitals in the Philippines, as member of the Board of Medicine and chairman of the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission.

He was a member of Our Lady of Hope Parish in Manila. Among his special interests, he enjoyed golf, farming and traveling. Dr. Doble was preceded in death by his parents, Eusebio and Paz Doble and his son, Jon Derek Doble.

Survivors include in his wife, Marilou Doble, of the family home in Manila, Philippines; his five children and their spouses, Maripaz Corazon and Allan Oppus, of Cainta Rizal, Philippines; Dr. Leo Angelo Doble, of Quezon City, Philippines; Marlo Thomas and Anjeanette Doble, of Botolan, Zambales, Philippines; Adrian Dennis Doble, of St. Albans, London, England and Paul Henri Doble, of Brooklyn, New York; his four brothers and sisters-in-law, Gil and Anabella Doble, of Lipa, Batangas, Philippines; Julius and Evelyn Doble, of Botolan, Zambales, Philippines; Arthur and Sonia Doble, of Subic, Zambales, Philippines and Albert and Rose Doble, of Vallejo, California; and his sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Tommy Agres, of Mahwah, New Jersey. Also surviving are his five grandchildren, Lorenzo Marie Doble, of Botolan, Zambales, Philippines; Samantha Nicole Oppus, of Cainta Rizal, Philippines; Michael Gabriel Oppus, of Cainta Rizal, Philippines; Calista Doble, of London, England and Sebastian Doble, of Botolan, Zambales, Philippines.
