Obituary for Ford Carter Hawkins Jr. Memorial services for Ford Carter Hawkins Jr., age 75 of Hideaway, Texas, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 18, 2018 at the Hideaway Lake Community Church with Pastor Louis Mizell officiating. Ford passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 in Tyler, Texas. He was born January 2, 1943 in Orange, Texas to the late Ford Carter and Mildred Ruth (Smith) Hawkins.

After spending 30 years in Dallas, Ford has lived in Hideaway since 2000 where he was on the sunday school and church boards at Hideaway Lake Community Church. He volunteered with the Lindale food pantry, was an avid golfer, and a member of the Noon Group Golf Club. Ford retired as a Quality Control Engineer after 35 years of service with Texas Instruments.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Hawkins of Hideaway; son, Kevin Scott Hawkins and wife, Cindy of Peyton, Colorado; daughter Denise Lynne Eskridge of Fayetteville, Arkansas; brother, Jerry Ray Hawkins and wife, Betty of Tyler; sister, Darlene Bonard and husband, Jim of Lufkin; grandchildren, Matthew Hawkins, Amanda Williford and husband, Jason, and Katie Eskridge; great grandson, Hudson Williford; nephew, Justin Hawkins; and niece, Julie Hawkins.
