Obituary for Frances O. Noss (Krout) Frances O. Krout Noss, 79, of Harrisburg, originally from Lewistown, Pa, passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday November 2nd, 2018. Born September 7, 1939, in Lewistown, she was the daughter of the late George W. (2000) and Frances L. (Boyer) Krout (1996). Frances graduated from Lewistown High School in 1957.

She moved to Harrisburg to establish her career where she held administrative support positions in both the public and private sectors, finally retiring from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation at the age of 62. Frances enjoyed time with her family, going on trips together and never missing a family event, gathering or a picnic. Fran was kind, endearing and humble.

She was accepting of everyone she met. She was especially fond of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will miss her dearly. Frances is survived by her son, Carl Noss, of Harrisburg; her son Gary Nye and his wife, Kimberly Nye, and their children, Alecia Nye and David Nye, of Landisburg; her daughter, Bonnie Berkoski, her husband, Edward Berkoski (deceased), their son, Edward Berkoski, Jr., their daughter, Lauren Berkoski, her husband, Devonair Clark, and their children, Aliyah and Desmond Clark, of Harrisburg.

A funeral service in loving memory of Frances will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday November 8, 2018 at The Barr Funeral Home Inc. and Crematory, 120 Logan Street, Lewistown. There will be a viewing held at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment will take place in Mt.
