Fred M. Wolf, age 89, Lawton, died Sunday, December 30, 2018 in Lawton. He was born October 24, 1929 in Newark, New Jersey. He was adopted at birth by Gustav and Assunta Wolf.

He lived in Palisades and Palisades Park, New Jersey and attended schools at Palisades, Palisades Park, Fort Lee and Leonia, New Jersey. In 1948 he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed at Camp Breckinridge, Kentucky. His next assignment was Schweinfurt, Germany and from there to the 17th Field Artillery at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

On August 25, 1950 his unit arrived in Korea. He was honorably discharged in 1951. His decorations and citations include the American Defense Service Medal, German Occupation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, United Nations Medal and the Korean Campaign Medal with three Bronze Stars.

On July 7, 1951 he married Jacqueline Cooper. They lived in West New York, New Jersey until 1954. They then moved to Lawton and Fred started working for Sears & Roebuck in 1955, retiring in August of 1988 after thirty-four dedicated years.

His hobbies were fishing, collecting antiques and refinishing furniture and wood working for friends and antique shops. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and served as a volunteer at his church. Fred was small in stature but was one of the biggest men you could ever meet.

He was dearly loved by everyone who ever met him and will be missed so very much, but God has one of the best. He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; two children: his son, Michael Wolf and his wife Debbie and his daughter, Lynda Wolf; four grandchildren, Michael, Brittney, Nicholas and Christopher; three great grandchildren, John Parker, Lexi and Mason; his half-sister, Patty Stickering and his brother, Freddie Latronica. His parents preceded him in death.
