Gabriel Andrew Rodriguez June 20, 1994 – August 31, 2018 Gabriel Andrew Rodriguez, 24, was born in June 20, 1994 here in Sierra Vista and tragically departed on August 31, 2018. Gabe always faced the day on his own terms. A quirky smile and quick wit was his offer to the world.

His love for animals, especially his dog Boba, was by far his pride and joy. A 2012 graduate of Buena High School, he attended Cochise College and held numerous jobs around Sierra Vista. He worked three years at Home Depot and as a contractor technician on Fort Huachuca.

Most recently Gabriel was on Fort Huachuca as an employee of Papa John’s, where he made great friends while baking and delivering pizza to soldiers all over post. Gabriel is survived by his mother Tamara (Tammy) Rodriguez, his grandmother Donna (Nana) Stanley of Sierra Vista, his sister Jamie (Brian) Cinnamon of Phoenix and brother Benjamin (Brandy) Rodriguez of Oregon. Gabriel has 5 nieces and 1 nephew.

Gabriel has an extended family in Indiana and in the El Paso, Texas, area that included his father Rudy Rodriguez, grandmother Victoria Perez and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Gabriel would be honored if you made a contribution in his name to the local Sierra Vista animal shelter. Family, friends and neighbors will gather on September 15 to celebrate Gabriel’s life.

We’ll remember and honor him the way he would appreciate, spending an evening outside around a fire, telling stories and remembering the better times.
