Gayle Sophie Weston, 69, Creekside, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019 while at Indian Haven. The daughter of Lisle D. and Gladys Mae (Verner) Weston, she was born July 22, 1949 in Shelocta, PA. Gayle attended Marion Center Area High School.

She was a member of the Holiness Gospel Center Church in Sagamore. She was a caregiver for her mother. Gayle loved playing cards, working on puzzles and crafts, and enjoyed shopping.

Surviving are her siblings, Shirley (John) Nealer, Indiana, G. Rebecca Lewis, Punxsutawney, Chuck Weston, Creekside, Tom Weston, Indiana, and Margaret (Darl) Orr, Creekside; and a special friend, Beverly Johnson. Gayle was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Lisle Weston, Grant Weston, Vallie Wilson, John “Jack” Weston, Ave Weston, Kay Weston, and Alvin Weston. Friends will be received on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.

A funeral service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel with Pastor Kal Henry, officiating. Interment in the Greenwood Cemetery will be private. The family would like to offer a special thank you to VNA Hospice for their kindness and compassion.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either the Creekside Fire Hall, 440 Nin Riddle Street, Creekside, PA 15732 or Holiness Gospel Center Church, PO Box 307, Sagamore, PA 16250.
