George Koorie, 89, of Easton, PA passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018 surrounded by his loving family, in Easton Hospital. George was born in Kfarsghab, Lebanon, a son of the late Peter and Wadeaa (Kassis) Koorie. George was married to the love of his life Georgette (Boulos) Koorie for 51 years.

George was a proud owner of Modern Valet Service, a dry cleaning and tailoring business, in Washington, NJ. George was a dedicated business owner from 1965 to 2008. George enjoyed tailoring, gardening, and sports, particularly, he was a Phillies and Eagles fan.

Most importantly, he was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. George was a member of Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, in Easton, PA. In addition to his wife, George is survived by seven sons: Sharbel Koorie and his wife Lena, Steven Koorie and his wife Amy, Peter Koorie and his wife Odil, Paul Koorie and his wife Josline, Ferris Koorie and his wife Eva, George Koorie Jr. and his wife Mira, and Maron Koorie and his wife Jennifer, all residing in Easton, 18 grandchildren, and a sister Mataline Rehayem and her husband Samir, of Australia.

He is preceded in death by two sisters Rosemont Moussa and Zakie Merhi, two brothers Anton Koury and Aziz Koury. Calling hours will be on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Prayer of the Incense at 7:45 p.m. in Morello Funeral Home, Inc. 3720 Nicholas St. Easton, (Palmer twp. ), PA.

An additional calling hour will be held on Wednesday from 8:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home. A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church, 4th and Ferry Streets, Easton, PA. Interment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Palmer Twp.
