Wend Cdavid , November 12, 2017 — April 29, 2018

Wendy C. David, 61, of York, PA, formerly of Nazareth, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 in Wellspan York Hospital. Born July 11, 1956, in Easton, PA, she was a daughter of the late William G., Sr. and Laura May (Meyers) Rapp. She and her husband, David R. David, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on November 12, 2017.

Wendy was last employed by the Children’s Home of Easton, where she worked as a nurse for fourteen years. Previously, she was employed as a nurse at the Allentown Bethlehem Birth & Midwifery Center, as a physician’s assistant for Dr. George C. Miller, of Lewisburg, PA, and as an obstetrics nurse at Easton Hospital. She graduated from Easton Area High School Class of 1974, St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1976, and received an associate’s degree in education from Northampton Community College.

Wendy sponsored children through Compassion International and World Vision. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader, enjoyed needlepoint, target shooting, traveling, and her cats.

Wendy was a member of L.C.B.C. of York, where she was York Branch Chaplain, greeter and member of the prayer team. She was part of the She Studies at L.C.B.C.

of Manheim. Surviving in addition to her husband David, are two sons, Andrew David and his wife Amanda, of Nazareth and Christopher David and his fiancée Corrine Brittain, of Whitehall; a daughter, Stephanie Sodl and her husband Andrew, of Whitehall and four grandchildren, Landon, Reilley, Laura and Declan. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, William G. Rapp, Jr. Services will be held at 10:30am Friday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton Street, Wilson Borough.
