John Gilbert Rymond, 75, of Belfast, formerly of Saylorsburg, PA, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 in St. Luke’s University Hospital. Born June 23, 1943, in Milford, NJ, he was the son of the late Anna and John Rymond. John and his wife, Virginia (Smith) Rymond, celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary on January 17, 2018.

He graduated from Milford High School. John was currently working part-time as an UTZ representative. He retired as a truck driver from RIST Transportation, Bethlehem.

Previously, he drove for the former P.I.E. Trucking for 28 years. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and going to S & S Speedway in Hamlin to watch his nephews race. Surviving in addition to his wife, Virginia, are a daughter, Shari Haney, of Northampton and a grandson, Joseph Haney III.

He was predeceased by a son, Joseph Haney, Jr. Graveside services will be held at 11am Thursday in Mount Eaton Cemetery, 7277 Mount Eaton Road, Saylorsburg. Arrangements are by the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson Borough. Offer online condolences at www.
