J. Gregory Neff, 86, of Bushkill Township, formerly of Palmer Township, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 at his home. Born December 29, 1931 in New Rochelle, NY, he was a son of the late J. Wallace and Elizabeth (Dougherty) Neff. He and his wife, Dorothy (Tomko) Neff, celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on January 21, 2018.

Gregory graduated from Easton Catholic High School and earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Lafayette College; he subsequently served in Army Ordnance in Germany and in California. He was employed for seven years at J.W. Neff Laboratories, Inc., of Stockertown and thirty years at Binney & Smith, Inc. (now Crayola) where he served as Director of Technology Development and various other technical positions. Gregory and his wife traveled extensively throughout the northern hemisphere.

He was a lifelong enthusiast for the great outdoors. He was a parishioner at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church in West Easton and St. Josaphat Byzantine Catholic Church in Bethlehem. Surviving in addition to his wife Dorothy are two daughters, Mary Macht and her husband Gregory, of Land O’Lakes, FL and Patricia “Trish” Neff, of Long Beach, CA; two brothers, John Neff and his wife Joy, of Forks Township and Thomas Neff and his wife Sarah, of Greenwich, CT; five grandchildren, Sarah, Jacob, John, Anna and Job; many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his son, David Neff, and two brothers, Theodore “Ted” and Larry Neff. A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10am Friday in Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 301 Fourth St., West Easton. Call Thursday 5-6pm in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton St., Wilson Borough with Panahyda at 6pm.

Burial will be in Holy Ghost Cemetery. Offer online condolences at www. strunkfh.com.
