James E. “Spooly” Wilson, Sr., 70, of Easton, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in St. Luke’s Hospice House. Born April 24, 1948 in Cuthbert, GA, he was the son of the late James and Annie (Murphy) Wilson. His wife of 44 years, Mary L. (Hewey) Wilson, passed away March 23, 2014.

He retired from Molded Acoustical. Prior to that, he was employed by the former Atlantic States now McWane. Spooly was an avid Eagles fan and enjoyed fishing, cooking and baking.

Surviving are three sons, James E. Wilson, Jr., Anthony Wilson, Sr., and Jermaine Wilson, Sr., all of Easton; a daughter, Patricia Wilson, of Columbia, SC; five brothers, J.C., Harry and Curtis Wilson, all of Easton, Carl Wilson, of Norfolk, VA and Carey Wilson, of Cuthbert, GA; two sisters, Annie Faye and Pamela Wilson, of Chicago, IL; fifteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by two brothers, Bobby Christian and Johnny Wilson. Services will be held at 11am Friday, September 14 in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 602 W. Berwick St., Easton, with a viewing Friday 10-11am in the funeral home.

Burial will be in South Easton Cemetery. Offer online condolences at www. strunkfh.com.
