Sharon L. Gackenbach, 70, of Palmer Township, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 in Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. Born June 11, 1948 in Easton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Henry Sandt, Sr. and Ruth (Miers) Sandt. Her husband of 18 years, Franklin L. Gackenbach, passed away September 24, 2012.

She had been employed as a waitress at the Palmer Diner. Sharon enjoyed crocheting, especially blankets for dialysis and cancer patients. She was a member of St. Paul’s Third Lutheran Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Tracy Steible and her husband Eric, and Carla Tigar, both of Palmer Township; two step-sons, Robert Seese and his wife Lori, of Wilson Borough and Jeff Gackenbach and his wife Melissa, of Palmer Township; a brother, Dennis Sandt, of Easton; two sisters, Flora Lonardo and Jean Fielding and her husband Jim, both of Easton; and nine grandchildren, Michael, Austin, Maxx, Alex, Rae-Lee, Tucker, Jared, Jeremy and Isabella. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Henry Sandt, Jr. Private services are under the direction of the Stunk Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson Borough.
