Thelma G. Fabian, 86, formerly of Avona Heights, Wilson Borough, passed away Monday, October 15, 2018 in Alexandria Manor, Bethlehem. She spent most of her life as a resident of Easton. Born June 23, 1932, in Easton, PA, she was a daughter of the late Willard and Gladys (Unangst) Brotzman.

Her husband of 59 years, Joseph Michael Fabian, died July 22, 2014. She graduated from Easton High School in 1950. Thelma soothed the pains of the sick, serving as a registered nurse after her graduation from St. Luke’s School of Nursing in 1953 until her retirement as a private duty nurse.

Upon retirement, her generosity won recognition as Volunteer of the Year at The Crayola Factory and The National Canal Museum of Easton. She also devoted time to The Hugh Moore Park Lock Tender’s House. She loved nature, especially birds and loved to swim.

She enjoyed her family, especially her grandchildren. Thelma is survived by daughters, Jane Marie Nigrelli and her husband Lucio, of Bethlehem Township, PA and Karen Spinelli and her husband Joseph, of Centennial, CO; and a son, Michael Fabian and his wife Joanne, of Williams Township, PA. She will be sadly missed by her six grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew and Daniel Nigrelli, Paris Fabian Spinelli, Michael J. and Hannah Fabian and a great-grandson, Dominic Nigrelli.

We dearly cherished our time together and we will miss her quiet and gentle spirit. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Richard Brotzman. Private services will be held in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton Street, Wilson Borough.
