Catherine J. Turner, 95, formerly of Easton, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2018 in ManorCare, Palmer Township. Born September 2, 1923, in Wilkes Barre, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Grace Mitchell. Her husband, William R. Turner, Sr., died June 10, 2003.

She retired from the former Fredwell, Easton, where she worked for 30 years. Catherine was a member of Franklin Hose Company and its shuffleboard league and the ladies auxiliary of Easton Elks Lodge #121. She was an avid shuffleboard player and Phillies fan.

Surviving are two sons, John W. Border and his wife Helen and Russell C. Border and his wife Rose, all of Easton; four granddaughters, Kelly Border, Kathy Kyne, Dawn Schaffer and Debby Lindstrum and two step-granddaughters, Beth and Laurie; six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a step-son, William R. Turner, Jr.; six brothers, Kenneth, Leroy, Clyde, Clarence, Theodore and Raymond Mitchell and a sister, Dora McPeek. Private services will be held in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 602 W. Berwick Street, Easton.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Hay’s Cemetery. Offer online condolences at www. strunkfh.com.
