Harley E. Fehnel, 97, of Bethlehem Township, PA, passed away Monday, July 23, 2018 in Easton Hospital. Born January 15, 1921, in Hecktown, PA, he was a son of the late Marcus and Goldie (Haupt) Fehnel. His wife of 73 years, Arlene M. (Amey) Fehnel, passed away April 15, 2014.

He served with the US Army during WWII. Harley retired from the former Bethlehem Corporation. Years ago, he worked for the former Gorham Chevrolet and Lennox Garage, Wilson Borough.

He was an avid hunter at his cabin in Blooming Grove, PA. Harley enjoyed reading The Express every day and chewing Red Man Chewing Tobacco. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethlehem.

Surviving are a son, Ellwood “Woody” Fehnel, of Bethlehem Township and his companion Cookie; a daughter, Diana Dalrymple and her husband Gerald, of Palmer Township; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a son, Wayne, an infant son, Richard, a brother, Wilmer and a granddaughter, Lynnette Lambert. Private arrangements are under the direction of the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Wilson Borough.
