Bruce S. Young, 82, of Easton, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at his home. Born August 6, 1935 in Bangor, PA, he was a son of the late Willard and Evelyn (Scott) Young. He and his wife, Jane C. (Hiney) Young, celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary on October 27, 2017.

Bruce was a 1954 graduate of Wilson High School and served with the U. S. Army. He retired from James River Corp. , formerly Dixie Co., where he worked in graphic design for 43 years.

Bruce enjoyed hunting with the Pike County Hunting Group. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed woodworking, camping and trips to Canada. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving in addition to his wife Jane, are two sons, Mark A. Young, of Easton, and Scott A. Young and his wife Caroline, of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Kimberly Grube and her husband Kenneth, of Denham Springs, LA; a sister, Barbara Mertz and her husband Robert, of Reading; seven grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Private services are under the direction of the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Easton. Offer online condolences at www.
