Elizabeth M. “Betty” Clark, 94, formerly of Palmer Township and Hanover Township, passed away Friday, July 13, 2018 in Gracedale. Born February 27, 1924 in South Bethel, now Lower Mt. Bethel Township, PA, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Miller) Edinger.

Her husband of 47 years, Carl Clark, passed away April 16, 1995. Betty was a 1942 graduate of Bangor High School and graduated from Churchman’s Business School. Years ago, she had worked for the former Christmas Club and Bethlehem Corporation.

She had also been a parachute inspector at the Silk Mill during World War II. Betty enjoyed walking, reading, gardening and traveling with her family and friends. She was a very active member of St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church where she was in the church choir, SAW group and had been a Girl Scout leader.

Surviving are a son, Bruce A. Clark and his wife Iraida, of White Haven; two daughters, Joann Walz and her husband Roy, of Bangor, and Brenda Hammett, of Elmira, NY; eight grandchildren, Raul, Alba, Noel, Scot, Keith, Jonathan “Gem”, Wendy and Dave; and eight great-grandchildren, Robert, Greg, Jaylynn, Danielle, Hannah, Sarah, Devin and Eve. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son-in-law, William Hammett, and five brothers, Stanley, Fred, John, Warren and Kenneth Edinger. Services will be held at 11am Thursday in St. Andrew’s Lutheran Church, 3900 Freemansburg Ave.

, Palmer Township. Call Thursday 10-11am in the church. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.
