George’s Obituary George Stein Moyer, a lifetime resident of Niagara Falls, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 27, 2019. He was born in this city on April 17, 1929, the only child of Frederick C. and Margaret J. (Stein) Moyer. He attended local schools, was graduated from Niagara Falls High School, the University of Buffalo and the University of Buffalo Law School.

George practiced law in Niagara Falls for more than 60 years and was a former member of the New York State Bar Association and the Niagara County Bar Association. He was a lifetime member of the former Pierce Avenue Presbyterian Church until it closed in 2006. George served in the New York National Guard from 1948 to 1955.

Active in Masonic affairs, he was Past Master of Niagara River Lodge, 785, an honorary member of Niagara LaSalle Lodge 132 and a Past Patron of Flagler Chapter 355, Order of the Eastern Star. He was also active in a number of York Rite Masonic organizations. He is survived by his wife, Darlene E. Moyer, three step daughters, Karen D. Smith; Wendy (Mike) Quarcini and Carrie J. (Carlos) Ramos and four step grandchildren.

He is also survived by cousins, Michael J. (Marlene) Moyer; Christine (Jack) Davison and Karen (Chad) Paron and their families. Family present Sunday from 1-8 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC. , 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, where Funeral services will be held Monday 10 AM.

The interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
