George W. Ahearn, age 83, of Stratford, cherished husband of Carmen (Benedetto) Ahearn, passed away peacefully at his home in Stratford on Tuesday, April 24, 2018. George was born August 9, 1934 in Bangor, Maine to the late Peter and Ella (Cheverie) Ahearn. George served in the United States Air Force.

He worked for Sikorsky Aircraft for 42 years. George is survived by his wife, two daughters, Pamela Romanoff and her husband Allan, and Kelly Scheurich and her husband Eric; four grandchildren,… Read More » Heather Mastri, Abigail Scheurich, Cameron Scheurich, and Cody Scheurich; one great grandchild, Dakota Libby; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. George was predeceased by his son, Michael Ahearn; one sister; and two brothers.
