Patricia Ann Ventulett Kovalik, best known as Pat, born June 28, 1949 passed away on June 2, 2018 peacefully with her loving family by her side. A loving and devoted wife of 49 years to her husband Vincent Sr. and dedicated mother to her sons, Vincent and Michael, devoted mother-in-law, grandmother, niece, cousin and friend. She graduated from Stratford High, class of 1967 winning the Betty Crocker Award to later team up with her best friend – more like sister, Lynn Mazas designing cakes.

Pat… Read More » was a woman of many talents, having worked at Anna’s of Stratford for many years as a hairdresser to later go back to school becoming a medical secretary for a Stratford OB-GYN office. There she helped many families, including rescues of distressed women and their children get out of abusive situations. A great lady and proud mom, she was the first woman to become a Cub Scout leader of Pack 74, and the 1st woman president of Michael’s Grid-Iron Club at Bunnell High School.

Pat had a passion for gardening and her efforts showed when her home was part of the Stratford Garden Tour. More than anything, Pat loved her family. She took pleasure in cooking for her family, spending time with her son Michael, and great joy crafting with her grandson, Gabe.

Predeceased by her parents, Robert Sr. & Catherine Ventulett, Brother Robert Jr., and her Son, Vincent Jr She is survived by her husband, Vincent Sr., love of her life; her dedicated and loving son Michael Kovalik & his girlfriend, Vivian Batista, who was a light through the darkness. Her daughter-in-law Cynthia Kovalik Cobb and husband Jeremy, grandsons Gabriel & Nathaniel.

Her brother Albert & his wife Virginia and their children Jon, Robert II, Allison and her spouse Simon with daughter Madelyn. Aunts, known as the twinies (Ventulett): Dorothy Spada, her children – Keely, who is a god send to the whole family & son, Peter. Dorothy Becker, her children – Donald Jr. & Cindy.

Her dedicated sister-in-law Kathy Kovalik & her son Nicholas. Nephews & their spouses, Chaz & Ann, Joe & Dottie. Per request of the deceased and family privacy, there will be no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, Pat would like to have donations made to a cancer society of your choice. The family would like to thank Norwalk Hospital: Anesthesia, Operating Room & PACU for the love and care given to Pat. All of you will be in our hearts.
