Obituary for Georgette Thompson Georgette M. Thompson, 93, of Harrisburg formerly of Tyrone died Friday February 23, 2018 at Bethany Village, Mechanicsburg. She was born August 28, 1924 in Tyrone, a daughter of Leo and Rosa (Schoch) Long. On June 21, 1944 in Tyrone she married Franklin S. Thompson.

He died April 3, 1963. Surviving are two daughters; Rosemary McAvoy of Naples, Florida, Lori Geissler of Etters, a son Thomas Thompson of Harrisburg, grandchildren: Mary McAvoy Eich, Jerome McAvoy III, Nichole Geissler Wonders, Darren Geissler, CWO2 Michael Thompson, Amanda Thompson Kadisak, great grandchildren, John Eich, Caroline Eich, Andrew McAvoy, Katelyn Wonders, Kyle Wonders, Dawson Geissler, Olivia Geissler, Isabelle Thompson, Georgia Kadisak, Franklin Kadisak, Regan Kadisak and a sister Leona Haag of Tyrone. She was preceded in death by a great-grandson William Thompson and her twin sister Virginia Lilly.

Mrs. Thompson was owner of Georgette’s Fabrics, Harrisburg for ten years retiring in 1984. She was a member of St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church, Harrisburg where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society. Funeral Mass will be held Monday February 26, 2018 at 12 Noon at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Tyrone with Fr.

Jozef Kovacik Celebrant. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends will be received in the Gathering Space at the church from 11 A.M. until the time of services.
