Gerald “Buzz” Gibson, 74, husband of the late Judy Ann Cannon Gibson, of 340 Chalmers Mountain Road, Walhalla, passed away, Saturday, March 2, 2019, at Greenville Memorial Hospital. A native of Oconee County, Mr. Gibson was the son of the late Grace Roach Gibson. He was a retired employee of Chicopee Manufacturing Company.

He enjoyed working with his hands in his garden and in his shop with small engine repair and watching football and wildlife on television. Mr. Gibson is survived by sons: Mitchell Gibson (Tammy) of Seneca, Tommy Gibson and Chris Gibson both of Walhalla and Anthony Shane Gibson (Sarah) of Westminster; daughter: Becky Burnette of Westminster; brother: Charles Gibson (Dianne) of Westminster; sisters: Margaret Hogan of Walhalla and Gail Gibson of Toccoa, Ga; grandchildren: Emma Gibson, Cody Floyd, Jacob Sanders, Jessica Sanders; and two great grandchildren: Jase Sanders and Keelan Sanders. In addition to his wife and mother, Mr. Gibson was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at the Chapel of Davenport Funeral Home with burial to follow in Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 PM Wednesday prior to the service. The family is at the residence.
