Gerald L. Wares, Jr., 72, of Eldred, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018 in Emporium. He was born on January 13, 1946 in Bradford, the son of the late Gerald Sr., and Helen Jones Wares. He was a 1963 graduate of the Otto Eldred High School.

Mr. Wares enjoyed classic cars and going to car shows. He also liked listening to classic country music. He was employed by the former Quaker State refinery, Farmers Valley as a lab technician for twenty nine years until he retired… Read More » in 1994.

He is survived by one son, Gerald (Elizabeth) Wares of Franklinville, NY; two daughters, Diana (Roger) Scott of Bradford and Jennifer (Chris) Rodgers of Wamego, KS; two sisters, Helen Canfield of Smethport and Gloria Magee of Lancaster; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Canfield. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
