Gerald’s Obituary Gerald Marvin Karraker, 86, of Knoxville, Tennessee, formerly of Wichita Falls, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019. The family will receive friends between 9 and 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home in Wichita Falls. A son of the late Roy Vernon and Pearl (Webber) Karraker, Gerald was born on July 7, 1932 in Guthrie, Oklahoma, and attended school in Covington, Oklahoma. He served our country proudly in the United States Navy from 1951 until 1954.

He was a member of Southwest Baptist Church and a member of the VFW. Gerald was well known in the Wichita Falls community as a familiar face in the meat department at United Supermarket where he worked for over 50 years as a Meat Cutter. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ruth Karraker; his brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Helen Joy Karraker; and his nephew, Jim Hargrove.

He is survived by his three sons, David Karraker and wife Tomy, Vernon Karraker and wife Cindy, and Norman Karraker and wife Diane; his sister, Twiyla Faye Roach and husband Al; his sister-in-law, Jane Perry; one grandson and one granddaughter; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who loved him dearly.
